What we collect and how long we keep it

• The documents you upload. We read them once to find the facts about the building, then delete them straight away. We don't keep copies.
• Anonymised building facts. From every set of documents we keep the state, suburb, postcode, building age and size, and the building works and costs the records mention (for example “switchboard replaced 2024, $42,000”). We don't keep names, your email, the street address, lot number or plan number with these. They are kept indefinitely to improve Levywise's estimates for every buyer.
• The facts read from them and your email address. Kept for 7 days so we can take payment and send your report, then deleted automatically.
• If you agree to a follow-up: your email, the building address, lot number, building details and your estimate, kept until we've contacted you once (around a year after settlement) and then deleted. We use your answer only to improve our cost estimates.
• If you join a waitlist for another state: your email and the state, kept until we've told you once that we cover it.
• If you share your building's costs: the building details and costs you enter, kept without your email to improve our estimates. Your email is kept with your free report code until it is used or expires (18 months), and, if you agree, until we have asked you once for invoices.
• Your answer to “did this change your offer?” Kept without your name or email.
• Payments. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.

Who processes it for us

We use a small number of services to run Levywise. Some store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

• Anthropic reads your documents. Under its commercial API terms, what we send isn't used to train its models.
• Vercel hosts the site and briefly stores uploads until they are read.
• Upstash holds the 7-day order record and the lists above.
• Stripe takes payment.
• Resend sends your report by email.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your information for marketing, and we don't send newsletters. The only emails you get are your report, your free report code if you shared your building's costs, and, if you asked for them, one follow-up or one waitlist email.

Your choices

Email hello@levywise.com.au to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you're not happy with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
